Om Jai Shiv Omkara is a popular Aarti in praise of Shiva. Shiva is part of the omnipresent trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh or Shiva. They are portrayed as being separate and yet one and the same at the same time.Hense Shiva is worshipped as the ever-existent and his worship is said to include everything else including Brahma and Vishnu.

Shiva is worshipped as Omkar Swaropa or the Omkar, which is the universal sound or the universal ever-existant.The blessings of Shiva are sought to fulfill ones life and evolve further and come closer to Shiva.

This Aarti is recited in Shiva temples all over India, where devotees recite this Aarti collectively and experience bliss and ecstasy.

Mahamrityunjay Mantra ~ Maha Shiv Raatri

             This is the version of the Mahamrityunjay Mantra, which is often referred to as the Puranic Mahamrityunjay Mantra.  Puranic means ancient, hence the name and origin of this Mantra.  The Puranas are those Hindu religious texts, which came after the composition of the Vedas. However, it has to be borne in mind that the Shiva Mantra always existed and was practiced before being included in the written form in the Puranic texts.

There are again more than one versions of this particular Mahamrityunjay Mantra, the common variation is of the word Maharudra being replaced by Mahadev. There is another similar version which is published - Here.

ॐ  मृत्युंजय महारुद्र त्राहिमां शरणागतं | जन्म मृत्यु जरा व्याधी पीडितं कर्मबन्धनैः ||

Om Mrityunjay Maharudra Trahimam Sharnagatam | Janmamrityujara Vyadhi Piditam Karmabandhanaih ||

The Mantra is a Sanskrit prayer of surrendering to Shiva as the Maharudra, asking for eradication of disease and pain and freedom from the unending cycle of birth, old age, suffering and death.

After studying a lot of texts, I have come to the conclusion that this Mahamrityunjay Mantra will bear full results after 33 Lakh Mantra Chants are completed. This may sound extremely difficult, but it must be remembered that this kind of Mantra Sadhana is never wasted and the penance and effort is carried forwards in future births.

Most powerful mantra to kill and destroy enemies,Maran Mantra -Guru Mantra

              This is a most powerful Maran and Uchchatan Mantra.Maran means to kill and Uchchatan means to remove from your life permanently. This is said to be a Mantra which does both. This is a mantra to kill and destroy an enemy. This mantra is a Rudra Mantra [fierce mantra] from the Rudrayamala Tantra.

The Siddhi [mastery] over this mantra is acquired by standing naked in water and reciting this mantra 1000 times. After this one has to perform Dashansh Havan.This means 1/10th of the total recitations, which are 100 Havans.This Havan is picking up some water in your folded palms and releasing it back into the water while reciting the mantra. This has to be done 100 times. A Havan means an offering which is in this case to the presiding deity of this mantra. All the time while doing this Sadhana [practice] one has to keep in mind the name/names of the enemy/enemies for whom this is being done.

This knowledge should be used with caution and for purposes of protection of the self and family, which is why I am putting all these mantras in the category of Protection Mantras
